LITURGICAL/SPIRITUAL LIFE

USHERS:

Ushers greet parishoniers as they arrive for Mass, help them find seats when needed, put the collection in bags, help direct the communion line and other duties as required by the Pastor during Mass. 

Training is provided by the Usher coordinator, Jessica Motto.


ALTAR SERVERS:

Altar Servers assist the priest at the altar during Mass. 

Training is provided by the Altar Server coordinators, Sylas and Sarah McLean.



READERS:

Readers proclaim the Word at Mass. 

Training is provided by the Reader coordinator, Vic Chargualaf. 



EXTRAORDINARY MINISTERS OF HOLY COMMUNION:

EMHC distribute Holy Communion to the assembled faithful during Mass. Individuals must be confirmed and practicing Catholics. 

Training is conducted by the EMHC coordinator, Vicki McLean. 


EMHC Homebound Ministry:

EMHC Homebound Ministers take Holy Communion to those who are homebound, in the hospital, or nursing home. Volunteers must be Safe Environment cleared.

Training is provided by the EMHC Homebound coordinator, Deacon Mike Eiffe.


SACRISTAN MINISTRY:

Sacristans help to prepare the altar and church for the Mass each day. 

Training is provided by the Sacristan coordinator, Joseph Cruz



ALTAR LINENS:

Volunteers keep our linens that are used during the Mass clean throughout the year.

Training is provided by the Altar Linens coordinator, JoAnn Rudy.



MUSIC MINISTRY:

Adult Choir (age 21 and up) -  leads music at Sunday 11am Mass and holy days of obligation. Weekly practice is required. Cantors are invited after singing in the choir for an initial period of time.

Children’s/Youth Choir (Grades 1-12) - is an introductory choir leading music at fall Masses once a month, Christmas Eve Mass and special events. 

Instrumental Ensemble (Youth + Adult) - This is a rehearsed ministry open to proficient players. This group plays at special seasonal occasions.


Volunteers are responsible for preparing for the liturgical seasons of the church calendar.

orating coordinators, Joan Eiffe, JoAnn Rudy, & Jerry Tuskan.



CLEANING THE CHURCH:

Volunteers are responsible for cleaning the church each week.
