Msgr. Bill Gahagan
I was born in Lewiston, Maine in 1937. I went to the local public school and after graduation I went into the US Navy for 6 month and 13 days until I was discharged for chronic sea sickness. After this, I joined the US Airforce and served for 4 and ½ years. I was stationed in Chateauroux, France for 3 of those years. Upon returning to the states, I requested three posts in the US and was stationed in TN. I entered the Seminary in 1961 and was ordained to the Priesthood in 1970. My major assignments once ordained were as Chaplin of St. Mary’s Medical Center for 10 years, Pastorships in Oak Ridge, Johnson City, Kingsport, Norris, and Lafayette, and any other Ministry the Lord saw fit to throw at me! I retired in 2004 due to illness, but am thankful to still be alive and active. I am blessed to be here at St. Albert the Great Parish—a truly spiritually young and yet mature Parish that expresses their faith in praise and action. I am so blessed by you all.
